Your website is an investment. It is a gateway connecting potential buyers to your product or service. So whether you're getting ready to launch or looking at a refresh, here are some helpful tips and tricks.

❌ DON'T use unrelated images, random colors and too many different fonts.
✅ DO keep your branding consistent! Stick to your brands colour scheme, use appropriate graphics and keep your logo use clean.

❌ DON'T embed your social media feeds.
✅ DO use specific call-to-actions to encourage use of your website. Embedded feeds slow things down and are distracting. You can add buttons that link to your feeds instead.

❌ DON'T make your site too complicated for users.
✅ DO try to keep it simple and easy to navigate. Visitors want/need to be able to browse with ease.

If Mondays social media blackout taught me anything, it's that businesses need to create alternative methods to communicate with their audience. Many business owners and marketers were left scrambling - wondering how to get important information in a timely manner to those who want and need it.

Email lists are important because email marketing is amore effective way way to connect with customers when comparing communication to social media. In fact, you are 6x more likely to get higher click-through rates through emails instead of tweets. Also, email is 40 times more effective at acquiring new customers than Facebook.

Don't be mistaken, social media is still super important. It is key to brand awareness, trust and visual development, but it always pays off to have a backup method of communication.

What does success look like to you?

That is one of the first questions I ask new and even potential clients because it helps them to start visualizing what they want and see in their brand and growth. Somehow, when we get older and life gets busier, our daydreaming stops.

I want my clients to start to articulate what they want to explore and experience from a passion perspective My goal is to help clients and their brands take action in creating the path they desire.

Action is so key to goal-setting.

Let's talk about brand trust for minute. Did you know:
📍 70% of social media users don’t trust brands who place profits before people during the pandemic.
📍 2 out of 3 of social media users expect brands to advertise in safe, positive spaces.

So how do you balance brand trust, brand advertising and customer relationships?
✔️ Think of your customers before yourself, especially in times of trouble. Focus on helping - not self promotion.
✔️ Be transparent.
✔️ Listen to your customers and respond quickly - to the good and the bad. Don't be a bot and open the door for 2-way communication.
✔️ Show your people, tell your stories. Be personable and show off the values and principles that drive your business.
