Do you know a small business struggling to stay afloat this spring?

Applications open today for small businesses affected by the recent public health orders.

Starting today, Alberta businesses affected by recent COVID-19 public health orders can apply for another payment from the Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant.

The additional payment of $10,000 will be available to organizations operating before February 29, 2020 as well as new businesses that began operations between March 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021. Impacted hotels, taxis and ride-sharing services will also be able to apply for this additional payment.

The grant offers financial assistance to Alberta businesses, cooperatives and non-profit organizations with fewer than 500 employees that have faced restrictions or closures due to recent COVID-related public health orders, and have experienced revenue losses of at least 30%.

Application intake for the program is open until May 31.
