A little life update. 🫶

Things have been quieter online lately and it’s for the sweetest reason. I’ve been busy growing and welcoming a tiny new human into the world.

The past year has looked a little different. More slow moments, baby snuggles and time poured into nurturing both my family and the stellar clients who continue to put their faith in GDDH.

I always love when previous clients return for more assistance with their branding materials! 💃

Here's a resume and cover letter that I designed for Anaquod Videography last year to go in parcel with his logo and business card design from a couple years prior.

One of my favourite things to do as a graphic designer is layout design! I have the best time taking a bunch of copy, wordsmithing it and then formatting it in a visually appealing and easily digestible way.

While I don't openly promote resume and cover letter design, it's something I like to think I'm pretty good at. Using graphic design software, such as InDesign, allows me to create sleek layouts, especially when space is limited—unlike with Microsoft Word.

Eric is not only a sweetheart but also extremely talented. His keen eye for detail always makes collaborating with him a pleasure!

The house don't fall when the bones are good. 🎵🎶

Shout out to all the Maren Morris fans out there. This song has been on replay in my house lately, with my daughter and I belting out our rockstar voices. 🎤

It got me thinking—building trust on social media is like laying a strong foundation for a sturdy house (or business, if we're sticking with the metaphor). You need to have a solid relationship with your customers and clients. Starting with a strong presence on your social channels.

Stop them in their tracks with an engaging marketing piece. 💥

Throwback to ✌️ years ago when trade shows were making a comeback and clients like WCE Design Inc. were in need of eye-catching marketing materials.

I crafted a double-sided postcard on a sturdy glossy cardstock to promote this local civil engineering firm's services and values. On the back of the postcard it had the company's mission, scope of projects and their approach.

Designing a postcard requires precision due to limited space. It's crucial to focus on short and sweet messaging to allow for white space.

The visuals I selected represented WCE's projects, with colours aligned to their branding. I opted for a clean, Sans Serif typeface to enhance the simplicity of the design.

Personally, I love researching a company, understanding the message it's trying to convey and finding a way to relay that to others through thoughtful design.

I was super happy with the way this project turned out and would do another promo piece in a heartbeat. 💃
