Another fantastic kickoff for the Xinflix Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce! I'm still always impressed by the quality of entrepreneurs that I meet, and I am very proud to be the Chair of this chamber of commerce for the second year.

Canada and China's automotive sector need one another more than they may think. China offers high-quality, affordable products that are essential for improving Canada's low EV adoption rate. In return, Canada possesses a refined, time-proven sales life cycle that can assist China in addressing its domestic price inversion challenges.

Today was the official ground-breaking ceremony for Phase 3 of the Chinese Cultural Center of Greater Toronto and the much-anticipated Asian Garden, “the Lanting Garden”, which will feature a blend of Chinese culture, Chinese Canadian history, a beautiful stream, and structures from the Tang Dynasty. It is certain to be one of Toronto’s most sought-after tourist attractions.

I am very proud to be one of the founding donors, and I encourage everyone from our community to make a contribution within their means to help complete this project. It is something we can all be proud of.

Thank you to Angela Chan and Dr. Ming-Tat Chung for asking me to emcee today’s event. While our golden shovels did not really lift any dirt, it was highly symbolic of the beginning of the next phase of this wonderful centre that we are all very proud of.

Last night was truly a feast for the senses as we celebrated Asian Heritage Month with a fantastic cross-cultural culinary exchange featuring expert chefs, restaurant critics and scholars. The evening wrapped up with a gourmet meal crafted by the chefs at Luna Private Banquets. All of this was part of the grand opening of this amazing new restaurant, which boasts 26 private rooms that evoke the elegance of the Tang and Song Dynasties, along with a menu that beautifully combines traditional Chinese dishes with modern twists.

Huge congratulations to Tim Lin and his entire team! A special thank you to all the dignitaries who graced the opening, and to our emcees, and Tyrone Li. We also appreciate our expert panel, which included Sara Waxman, the founder and editor-in-chief of Dine Magazine; Chef Leo Chan, the co-founder of the Cambridge Food and Wine Club; James Thomas, a writer and historian; and Jackie Lin, the chef and owner of the one-Michelin-star Shoushin. It was a real pleasure to guide this discussion between such knowledgeable individuals.

And a huge thank you to my team especially Huang, Kaur and Chan, for their outstanding work in ensuring every detail was perfect.

The Dealer Academy is leading the way in automotive retail sales education in China and we couldn’t be more proud to work with our partners, the Motor Vehicle Retailers of Ontario , Automotive Business School of Canada Powered by Georgian College and the Automobile Dealers Assocation (CADA).

Canada has an incredible wealth of knowledge to export around the globe. Hard product is one thing and China does a fantastic job of that—but “soft product/skills” is something that is developed over decades of experience. That’s an incredible resource we bring to the world!
