Charcuterie boards - Did you know a good charcuterie board has been wetted and sanded a minimum of three times before being treated with an oil finish. I make these from scratch starting with a slab of hardwood, planing the board, sanding the board, wetting the board, letting it dry, sanding, wetting, etc, etc…. Laser engraving and then finishing with a food safe oil and then waxing it.

Why? There are different fibres that make up the wood. Some absorb water quicker than others which raises them. If it isn’t finished properly after using the board it will get a rough finish to the surface.

Custom laser engraving to personalize is available for that perfect gift.
