Kaiser Design and Marketing

Kaiser Design and Marketing A full service agency delivering results ‘concept to completion’. But as fathers and sons are, his future was not in the wine cellars.

Maximilian grew up in Niagara-on-the-Lake watching his father Karl build a small cottage winery in an industry dominated by low quality, mass produced Canadian wines and European imports. Instead, Maximilian recognized that the growing Niagara wine industry needed to not only to establish itself on the world stage as a legitimate competitor, but also as an industry that understood package and bran

ding, reflective of its product. So for the past 20 years, Maximilian - with a degree in graphic communications from Ryerson University, has been refining his skills in label and package design within the Niagara Region. His successes with award winning wine labels have lead to numerous food packaging contracts – and from a chance encounter with Peter and a certain vibrant granola box at a Toronto food show, the SEXCEREAL brand was born. Most recently, his sister Andrea (Drea) Kaiser joined his team, after 30 years in the food and beverage industry in operations, marketing and public relations. She is a leader in the industry and taught Business Management and Marketing at the Culinary Institute of Canada for over a decade. Andrea now also offers her expertise in branding and marketing to clients and works closely with her brother to achieve remarkable results for their clients.

Kaiser Design & Marketing partnered with Nuvo Iron to develop trade show marketing materials and product package design supporting the launch of outdoor railing and hardware products. The work included a custom booth design, renderings with display specifications, vinyl logos and decals, Sintra signage, and 3D wordmark lettering for an industrial corporate display promoting fencing and deck accessories. Alongside the exhibit work, Kaiser Design & Marketing created packaging for the Royal Railing Baluster Collection and expanded the screw packaging line, delivering cohesive brand identity and packaging design for the hardware industry.

Kaiser Design & Marketing led a strategic brand identity and packaging refresh for The Pie Plate, evolving the existing logo while protecting the warmth and authenticity of its handcrafted, family-owned roots. The work included a deep exploration of illustrative directions for the pie icon and careful typographic refinement to build a stronger, more unified visual identity. The work maintained its authenticity across custom packaging, including food-safe paper, bakery bags, and branded packaging tape. By integrating the client’s carved illustration and vintage-inspired type, the final brand expression feels distinctive, memorable, and deeply rooted in craftsmanship and nostalgic storytelling.

For Newark Brewing, a Niagara-on-the-Lake brewery named after the town’s original 1792–1797 name, Newark, the brand identity was shaped by authentic storytelling and a strong sense of place. Drawing from classic beer packaging, the design team introduced a custom crest with an “N” monogram framed by two griffins, alongside a maple leaf and hop details that reinforce the brand’s heritage. A defined colour palette and clear standards carry the identity across the logo and packaging, resulting in a system that feels timeless, cohesive, and contemporary. The final expression balances heritage character with a clean, modern can design.

At the heart of all great design is visual storytelling. For the 2025 Tiguan Product Launch Training, we brought this philosophy to life in a dynamic and immersive way. Drawing inspiration from the vehicle’s name, a fusion of tiger and iguana, we developed custom graphic elements that reflected the bold, hybrid spirit of the Tiguan. This concept unified every touchpoint, transforming a standard training session into a memorable experience.

We delivered creative and effective solutions to support the launch with a comprehensive event activation across Canada from coast to coast. Our team executed a full suite of large- and small-format event collateral, including information towers, registration desks, welcome banners, and custom table skirts. We also designed and printed a range of training materials—agendas, posters, lanyards, and pinboards for workshop activities. In addition, we provided production support for client-supplied assets such as vehicle handover checklists, top vehicle features, and the Customer Experience Assistant booklet.

These deliverables were just the foundation—what elevated the experience was the cohesive design narrative that brought the Tiguan’s identity to life.

For Pinewood Homes’ 50th anniversary, we developed an exclusive drop campaign that resulted in a complete townhome sellout.

We began with standard strategic online marketing across Google and Meta, but after seeing a high volume of mismatched leads, we developed a more precise solution. Our team designed and built a custom web-based application with a dynamic questionnaire that used casual, engaging language and tongue-in-cheek multiple-choice questions to identify buyer needs. This data was funnelled into a custom database that categorized responses and matched users to the most accurate product and price range available.

The most qualified candidates were granted access to customized portals featuring exclusive offers, including cash-back rebates and direct communication with a Pinewood Homes representative.

Visually, we chose a classic black and white palette with gold accents — a refined look that reflected the company’s 50th year of building in Niagara. We created a full visual identity, including a custom 50th-anniversary logo, a streamlined user interface with large buttons and simple navigation, and matching social graphics that aligned with the brand’s look and feel.
From campaign strategy and UX to branding and launch, we executed the full project in just six weeks — resulting in a complete sellout of available units.

This is the kind of targeted, design-led marketing we create to drive results for forward-thinking brands.

“Inniskillin celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking fifty years since my father, Karl Kaiser, co-founded the winery and helped lay the foundation for the Canadian wine industry. It was an emotional and proud moment for my family to see how far his vision has carried, and how deeply his legacy continues to shape the world of wine. At the event, they served the 1995 Alliance, a wine created through Inniskillin’s collaboration with Jaffelin in France. It was also the first wine label I ever designed. To see that same bottle served at such significant milestone, thirty years later, is an incredible privilege. Both the wine and the design have stood the test of time: classic, ageless, and defined by quality. Thank you to everyone who came together to honour the past, celebrate the present, and continue carrying the story forward.” - Maximilian Kaiser

When Clover Kitchens expanded from a catering service into the world of made-to-order sandwiches, we were tasked to craft a brand that could grow with them.

Their company philosophy is rooted in quality — fresh, high-end ingredients, housemade recipes, and exceptional service; this is expressed in a visual identity that feels warm, clean, and full of character.

Their design must-haves? A four-leaf clover and the colour green — symbols we thoughtfully integrated to create a bold and approachable brand that is every bit as memorable as their menu. This same level of intention carried through to onsite and in studio food styling and photography, with each shot styled to reflect Clover’s gourmet twist on fast food.

The result is a flexible identity built to evolve with the business while staying true to what makes Clover Kitchens authentic from the start.

We designed the labels and logo for drawing inspiration from its poetic essence and handcrafted roots.

The logo was designed in the style of an old pen-and-ink drawing—handcrafted and intentionally unrefined. The barrel and heart merge into a single form, capturing the brand’s character in one mark.

The labels were inspired by original poems written by Barrel Heart’s owner and brewmaster, Mark. We imagined an artist wandering an orchard or sitting by the sea, sketching loose watercolours on natural paper with a soft, unfinished quality.

Each illustration was digitally drawn using custom brushes and layered textures to evoke traditional media—blending handcrafted character with modern intention.

A design rooted in story and guided by heart.

We brought the Jack Pine Wine brand to life with a hand-drawn-style label inspired by rustic Canadian landscapes and printed on natural paper textures to echo its eco-friendly values. From the packaging to the animated brand story, every detail was crafted to feel warm, nostalgic, and proudly Canadian.

To bring depth to the brand’s narrative, online. We developed an organic-style, paper animation that captures the Canadian spirit of Jack Pine. It was built using layered paper graphics and cut-out illustrations with a motion style that feels intentionally raw and outdoorsy.
