Over the weekend, our team at Newfound Marketing was honoured to sponsor the Corey Eddy Memorial Golf Tournament, an event that continues to celebrate and remember the life of Corey.

The tournament raises funds for the Corey Eddy Memorial Scholarship, awarded annually to students in the Marine Engineering Systems Design program at MI. This scholarship carries forward Corey’s legacy by supporting the next generation of marine engineering professionals.

This cause is especially meaningful to us. Our President, Sheldon Payne, was a close friend of Corey. They spent time together during their university years at Bowater Residence, sharing many memories that live on today.

We’re grateful to play a small part in keeping Corey’s memory alive and supporting students in his honour.

One of the biggest opportunities in tourism SEO is understanding what travellers are searching for before they ever book a trip.

For one of our tourism clients, we identified high-impression travel queries that had no dedicated content behind them. We built a 90-day SEO + AEO strategy around those opportunities, creating targeted content, filling content gaps, and optimizing pages for both traditional search and AI-generated answers.

Over 90 days:
• Organic clicks grew from 147 to 3,190, a 2,071% increase
• Impressions increased from 11K to 196K
• CTR improved from 1.3% to 1.6%

The result is a much broader search presence, with the client now appearing across more of the travel planning searches their potential visitors are already making.

Day two in Twillingate! 💙

Our team spent another full day creating content for Visit Twillingate, from exploring local history with Captain Dave and heading out on the water to experiencing live music and ending the day with an incredible Twillingate sunset.

A big thank you to everyone who welcomed us and shared a little piece of Twillingate with our team. We loved getting to experience it all while capturing the stories that make this place so special.
