How about a “sand-blast” sign from the past?!

Always lovely to spec out jobs at the Harbour on a beautiful day.
Until…. Mr. Pouty Pant’s favourite hat falls into the Bay, blows under a dock and gets stuck!

Hat was rescued and soon we’ll send a proof of custom boat decals to our client 🙃👍🛥️

A friend of ours asked for some additional text to be added to an antique sign he had for his garage so like any job we take on we…
- laid out different font options
- sent a proof for him to review
- prepared a production file for the custom paint mask decal
- prepped and applied mask to sign
- painted
- removed mask and tweaked up the finish with a bit of a distressed look to tie in with the rest of the sign

Hope he likes it 👍

A couple 6am starts on a sign installation this week. Our noisy hammer drill would make for a horrible experience for their guests thus the schedule this required.
116 holes drilled into rock and then time spent leveling each letter over the uneven surface.

Thx Scandinave for another opportunity to work with you. We’re fortunate to proudly say we’ve been working with the spa on many sign projects since its Opening Day long ago.

The noisemakers (us) have left the vicinity so what are you waiting for? Come for a visit and ssssssshhhhhhh……. just relax 😊

Do you see the little black smudge below the rain drops? That’s Eric! Finishing up the last part of our signage installation.

The main part of the circular signage is fabricated with super thick clear plexi and mounted with custom raised brackets.
Dimensional letters below tell you to “Get your fix on 26!” So what are you waiting for?
Williams will soon be open every day of the week and we hear it’s pretty fabulous.

Oh yes…. The dude in the last image??? A fellow we followed out of the airport post installation. In Canada when you get any temp above freezing it’s time to get out the motorcycle and ride 👍!

Random pics from our most recent sign installation job-site.

Reflecting on these images upon our return to the studio made me realize that we really are made up of a different kind of caliber in this country. When you install signage this time of year you do have to expose the wee digits to frigid elements (those are my beauties in the photos) 🥶 and the truck heater was much needed to get the circulation back into our son’s toes on Sunday.

As graphic designers we hope now - and going forward - Canadian producers will ensure that their design packaging includes a very bold, clear label indicating their origin (ie: a simple flag icon) that helps consumers know at a quick glance that they are a Canadian owned company. Maybe also include stickers to distributors for products already on shelves. This would make it much easier for consumers to choose these products when shopping rather than spending extra time trying to read the fine print on labels.

On a personal level I’m reading the lists of Canadian brand alternatives but how do we remember them all? We all want to be more supportive so making it easier for us to identify products efficiently will be helpful.

Thx Williams on 26 for the opportunity to work with you on your airport restaurant signage.

This one…. Just installed by Eric and our son .neumann

I know they’re frozen and heading back now to warm up before heading back for the final signs above entrance doors.

Go check out the restaurant (at Meaford Airport) which is open Wednesday-Sunday from 8am - 8pm.

It was so lovely to receive these words of appreciation from BVO (Beaver Valley Outreach – our local non-profit charity organization) in an email yesterday.

We’ve been working with BVO since about 2010 and as a way of giving back to our community, Eric and I were more then happy to donate the full creative of their original logo. We then made the decision to discount all our design work for every project thereafter (from ads to program logos, all aspects of signage, vehicle graphics and more).

BVO puts every donation they receive to good use through their reliable and viable programs that so many in our community benefit from and we are so proud to be a part of this.

So – thanks BVO – for the kudos! We look forward to continuing our services with you in the future ahead.
