Working with a production studio for the first time can feel like a big leap, especially when you’re not sure what the process even looks like on the other side.

So we’re pulling back the curtain. Here’s exactly what a Graze project looks like, from the first conversation to final delivery.

We work with food, beverage, and CPG brands who have something worth showing (and content that isn’t showing it yet). If that’s where you are, this is for you.

Action.

We noticed it when we were pulling clips from our summer shoot with one of our bakery clients.

Every single clip we kept coming back to (the ones that made us stop and say “woah!”) had something in common. Something was happening. A pastry being piped. A sundae being built. A hand pulling a perfect slice.

Not a static shot or a slow pan.

And it got us thinking about how often we see food brands invest in content that looks right but doesn’t feel like anything. The visual equivalent of someone telling you about a meal instead of letting you taste it.

Eyes eat first. Always have. But they eat up movement the most - the sensory, tactile, “I want to reach through the screen” moments.

Less posing. More doing.

Your community will thank you.

The most underused content strategy for food and CPG brands is recipe and use-case content.

Here’s what the data says:

Recipe posts drive 3x more saves than standard product photography, and saves are the highest signal of purchase intent on Instagram. More valuable than likes. More valuable than comments.

A Pinterest pin lives for 4+ months. An Instagram product post lives for about 48 hours. One well-executed recipe shoot produces content that keeps driving discovery, traffic, and trust long after it’s published.

It works across every channel simultaneously: your Instagram feed, TikTok, email campaigns, website, Pinterest, and paid ads. One shoot. One strategy. An entire content ecosystem.

And yet most food and CPG brands aren’t doing it consistently. Not because they don’t see the value, because they don’t have the dedicated creative infrastructure to execute it well and repeatedly.

That’s exactly what we build at Graze.

We’re a Toronto-based commercial production studio specializing in recipe development and food styling for food, beverage, and CPG brands. We handle everything from concept and recipe development through to shoot day, editing, and deployment - so the content doesn’t just look beautiful, it works hard across every platform it lives on.

If your brand has a product that belongs in someone’s kitchen, pantry, or daily routine and your content isn’t reflecting that yet... that’s the gap we close.

Most businesses come to us after months of reactive, one-off content.

A shoot here. A photographer there. A freelancer for the campaign. They’re exhausted and still not where they want to be.

Here’s what changes when you stop thinking in posts and start thinking in asset libraries:

1️⃣ You shoot once and use it everywhere.
Social, email, eCommerce, ads, print material. One production day covers all of it.

2️⃣ You stop scrambling.
Every season, every launch, every campaign... you have something to pull from instead of starting from zero.

3️⃣ Your brand starts to look like itself.
Consistent visual language across every touchpoint. That’s what builds recognition. That’s what builds trust.

4️⃣ You make better creative decisions.
When you’re not rushing, you’re thinking. And thinking leads to content that actually works.

This is what we build for CPG and food businesses who are ready to move beyond reactive content and into something that compounds.

If that’s where you are, DM us. Let’s talk about what a proper production partnership looks like.

We found Woodward Meats at the start of this year through a video that stopped us mid-scroll. Ordered immediately. Now there’s always a haul in our freezer - because the quality is amazing and the price doesn’t make you do the math three times at checkout.

With Father’s Day coming up, we did what felt natural: built a recipe around a brand we love, for a dad who never once made just one thing on the grill.

Italian-style chicken sausage from Woodward Meats, sautéed peppers and onions, melted provolone, gremolata, on a bun. Make it alongside whatever else is already going on at the table that day. (Because that’s the whole point.)

Recipe in the comments. 🤍

If your content looks fine but isn’t doing anything for your business, it’s probably one of these five things.

Slide through, and be honest with yourself.

If any of these hit close to home, that’s exactly the conversation we want to have.

If you’re a CPG or food brand and summer content isn’t already in production, this is your sign to move.

Brands that show up well in summer don’t shoot in July. They shoot in May and June, so the content is strategically planned and ready when the season actually hits.

Here’s what we’re seeing brands miss:

→ Summer campaigns need lead time. Lifestyle shoots, outdoor setups, seasonal styling... none of that happens overnight.
→ Your eCommerce, email, and social all need different assets. One shoot should cover all of it.
→ The brands that win summer are the ones who planned for it in spring.

We still have a small window to take on summer production projects before our calendar fills. If you’re a food, beverage, or CPG brand who needs content that actually reflects the summer season (and the quality of what you’ve built) this is the conversation to have now.

DM us! Let’s talk about what a summer shoot could look like for your brand.

May felt like the beginning of something.

We’ve been doing a lot of repositioning, planning, shooting, and rebuilding quietly behind the scenes.

More brand campaigns. More recipe development. More creative food and beverage content.

This is the part where we start saying it out loud.

More to come in June.

Before Graze was official, it was just Kyle and I figuring out what creative content we could make together.

This tennis court shoot was one of those early experiments. Editorial style, strong natural light, me in front of the camera (for once). We were just starting to find our rhythm as a team.

Looking back, this shoot is pretty clearly where it all began. And, since it’s still one of our favourites, we thought we’d get a liiiiittle bit nostalgic and bring it back to the feed. 🤭🎾
