This was one of the photos we took for my interview with Al Jazeera.
While my interview and story made it into the article, this photo never did, but I always liked it, so I’m happy to finally share it here. A little overdue.
I’m wearing one of my favourite wardrobe finds: a vintage Moschino jacket that I picked up secondhand for an incredible price. It perfectly captures what I love about the brand—playfulness, creativity, and the idea that luxury doesn’t have to be taken too seriously.
Looking at this photo now, I noticed something I completely missed at the time. Behind me is a sign of Muhammad Ali outside a boxing store. Even funnier, one of the other photos Aidan and I took that day also happened to have a mural of Muhammad Ali outside a boxing gym in the background.
A few months later, one of my videos unexpectedly went viral, it was about boxing and Andrew Tate getting knocked out. Around that same time, I also had a dream about Muhammad Ali. Whether it’s coincidence or not, it made me reflect on what he represented beyond the ring. He wasn’t only one of the greatest athletes of all time; he was also someone who stood firmly by his principles, speaking out for civil rights, religious freedom, and social justice, even when it came at great personal cost.
Looking back, it’s fascinating how certain themes quietly weave their way through our lives before we even notice them.
