HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥂

On this final day of 2023, I'm honestly stunned that the year went by so fast! I didn't reach all of my goals, and the year didn't turn out how I'd hoped in many ways, but I'm learning to be gentle with myself and see the positive. There's still lots to be grateful for, and I'm hopeful for what's to come!

For everyone who was a part of my life in 2023, thank you—you've made this year incredible ❤️

I am not a huge New Year's resolutions kinda girl—I feel so much pressure to perform once I set resolutions, making me push hard in the beginning and then burn out a few months later. It makes the end-of-year recaps really disappointing haha! So I thought I'd take a softer approach to what I want to accomplish for the coming year.

Here are some ambitions I want to take steps towards this year as a creative! Some are for my business, and some are just for me.

Hello 👋 Here's a small intro to help you get to know me better outside of what I do as a brand designer!

I am a HUGE foodie! I'm always craving something and dreaming of my next meal 😋 I specifically love Asian food and dessert—you'll never catch me saying no to cake!

I love being creative and trying new ways of expressing myself 💡 I've written a book, dabbled in photography, and tried my hand at painting. (I've even attempted singing and dancing, though you'll never catch me doing it in public! 💩) Design is just one of many creative avenues I practise.

I'm convinced I'm the BEST person to watch movies or binge a show with! I get SO invested in stories, I give the most animated reactions, and I'm down to try any genre! Anime, k-dramas, Disney films, reality TV—you name it, I love it! (My one exception is paranormal horror...I won't sleep for weeks after watching that genre! 👻)

And for a lightning round ⚡ Fall is my favourite season, I love rose EVERYTHING (flavour, flower, colour, gold), Sailor Moon is one of my favourite shows, and I dislike coffee and Christmas, but I love Jesus ❤️

Here's a FULL intro to The Breakfast Club—delivering everything you want for your breakfast every Sunday, from your own jam and fresh croissants to soft eggs. 🥐

For this passion project, the company needed a logo and packaging for delivery, something playful and cheerful that would delight everyone upon delivery. I hope I delivered some brand designs that will satisfy their craving!

Are you a sweet or salty breakfast lover? I prefer sweet, like waffles with whipped cream and fruit, but I need something salty on the side to balance it out, like bacon 🥓 What's your go-to breakfast meal? Let me know in the comments!

1 YEAR OF POSTING MY DESIGNS! 🙌

Though I've been a designer for the last 4 years, it wasn't until August 1st, 2022 that I decided brand identity design was my passion and I built up the courage to attempt passion projects and post my work on Instagram/Facebook 💕

Was my work brilliant, stunning, and the pinnacle of innovation? HECK NO! 💩 But I've learned so much by putting myself out there, and I can see how much I've grown as a designer since then.

For anyone holding yourself back from starting, ask yourself - where do you want to be 1 year from now? Whatever you envision, it won't just happen. START NOW.
