Over 80% of my Google Ads audits have the same problem... and it isn't the Google Ads account itself.
It's everything around it.
Business owners come to me wanting lower CPAs, more leads, and more sales from Google.
Then I look at the bigger picture, which is most of the time:
• No YouTube content
• No email marketing
• No lead magnet
• Weak website messaging
• No retargeting strategy
• Inconsistent social media
• No system for building trust before the click
Then they wonder why Google Ads feels expensive.
But... here's the reality:
Google Search doesn't create demand. It captures demand from keyword searches.
The businesses winning right now aren't relying on one channel.
They're building an ecosystem.
Someone watches a video.
Sees an Instagram post.
Visits the website.
Joins the email list.
Gets nurtured.
Searches the company name.
Then converts.
Google gets the credit.
The ecosystem makes the sale.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is treating Google Ads like a magic vending machine for leads.
The strongest accounts I've audited this year weren't the ones with the best campaigns.
They were the ones with the strongest marketing ecosystems.
If your Google Ads performance has plateaued, the next opportunity may not be inside your Google Ads account at all.
It might be everything happening before the search.
