Over 80% of my Google Ads audits have the same problem... and it isn't the Google Ads account itself.

It's everything around it.

Business owners come to me wanting lower CPAs, more leads, and more sales from Google.

Then I look at the bigger picture, which is most of the time:

• No YouTube content
• No email marketing
• No lead magnet
• Weak website messaging
• No retargeting strategy
• Inconsistent social media
• No system for building trust before the click

Then they wonder why Google Ads feels expensive.

But... here's the reality:

Google Search doesn't create demand. It captures demand from keyword searches.

The businesses winning right now aren't relying on one channel.

They're building an ecosystem.

Someone watches a video.
Sees an Instagram post.
Visits the website.
Joins the email list.
Gets nurtured.
Searches the company name.
Then converts.

Google gets the credit.

The ecosystem makes the sale.

One of the biggest mistakes I see is treating Google Ads like a magic vending machine for leads.

The strongest accounts I've audited this year weren't the ones with the best campaigns.

They were the ones with the strongest marketing ecosystems.

One of the most frustrating things happening in Meta right now is when you launch a campaign with multiple strong creatives… and Meta decides it’s only going to spend on one of them.

I recently launched a campaign where we had beautiful graphics covering 5 different customer angles across the funnel:

• Lifestyle / Identity
• Product Aware
• Education / How It Works
• Reviews & Social Proof
• Objection Handling & Urgency

The problem?

Meta pushed almost all of the spend to a single video no matter what I tried.

Now, most advertisers would immediately conclude that the graphics weren’t working.

But the reality is that if Meta doesn’t spend on something, you don’t actually have enough data to determine whether it works or not.

So instead of fighting the algorithm, I changed the strategy.

I launched a separate engagement campaign to a followers lookalike audience using the static graphics. This allowed those creatives to generate engagement and social proof without competing against the dominant video inside the sales campaign.

Then inside the sales campaign, I kept the strongest-performing video concepts and used the different customer angles as the primary text and messaging.

Same brand.
Same offer.
Same budget.

Just a different way of helping Meta learn.

The result?

ROAS increased from 3.10 to 7.66 x

One of the biggest misconceptions in advertising is that performance problems are always creative problems.

Sometimes the creative is fine.

Sometimes the media buyer just needs to give the algorithm a better environment to succeed 👏🏻👏🏻

The difference between a 1% CTR and a 3% CTR is sometimes one word.

Most brands think the problem is the creative….Sometimes it’s the CTA 😏

The CTA isn’t just a button, it’s a psychological ask.

Think about it this way.

If you met someone on the street today and they immediately said:

“Hey, come over to my house.”

You’d probably say no lol

Not because they’re a bad person.

Not because you don’t like them.

🐒 You just don’t know them yet.

Maybe you’d grab a coffee first.

Go for a walk.

Get to know each other.

Build some trust.

Then eventually, maybe you’d feel comfortable enough to go to their house and hang out (I love analogies lol)

That’s exactly how marketing works.

Yet every day I see brands introducing themselves to a customer for the very first time and immediately asking them to:

Shop Now.

Book Now.

Buy Now.

They’re asking for commitment before they’ve earned trust🐒.

The goal of marketing isn’t to force a decision.
