Charlie Sheen + Music = Good?πŸ˜œπŸ‘

Artist: Song: Still Winning Date: May 12 2011 Views: 125,097I grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ where I met Aaron through a mutual friend. I remember Aaron kicking around some different ideas for solo projects or maybe starting a new band. When he finally landed on the name Intervals and started working on the song that would become Still Winning, Charlie Sheen was at the height of his downward trajectory. The phrase had become part of the public Rolodex and I remember thinking that it was kind of a perfect embodiment of the songwriting attitude. I’m not really sure who came up with the idea, Aaron always attributes it to me, but over 10 years ago on May 12 2011 we shot the playthrough for Still Winning in his parent's basement. I barely knew what I was doing, I knew I had to at least get different angles and make them cut together, but there really wasn’t much of a plan or an attitude. Somehow we stumbled through it and very clearly it all worked out. You can still check out Intervals on MySpace, yes that was a thing in 2011 and I often think about what would have happened if Aaron had followed through with the β€œStill Winning” mindset, maybe he would be the Lil Dicky of prog metal now. πŸ’―

πŸŽ¨πŸ€– Artistic Intelligence: Dogs πŸ•

We're exploring the world of AI-created art by looking at cute AI photos of dogs 🐢 that we generated using free software called Stable Diffusion

Artificial intelligence (AI) has started to revolutionize many aspects of our lives, including the world of art. The question of whether AI can be the creative push we need as a society is becoming increasingly relevant as AI-generated artwork is on the rise.

On one hand, the ability to create art without traditional artistic skills can provide access to creative expression for young people and adults who may not have otherwise been able to engage in the arts. AI-generated art can also push the boundaries of what we consider "art," expanding the possibilities for artistic expression. It allows us to explore new ideas and concepts and even make adorable photos when we should be working on something else.

However, there are also potential negative effects to consider. With AI-generated art becoming more prevalent, there is a risk that it could devalue the work of traditional artists, as well as raise concerns about authenticity and ownership of creative works. The question arises, can AI-generated art actually deter potentially generational artistic talents from pursuing a career in the arts? The debate around AI-generated art is complex, and there are valid arguments on both sides. Some believe that AI-generated art is a tool that can complement and enhance human creativity, while others see it as a threat to traditional artistic practices.

What do you think about AI-generated art and how it relates to creativity in our society? Do you believe that it can coexist with traditional art or will it replace it? Share your thoughts in the comments below! ⬇️

Brand Spotlight: Steel Mace Queens

βž–βž–βž–πŸ‘Šβž–βž–βš« πŸ‘‘

Whenever you're creating a new brand, you not only need to understand your identity and voice but also the best way to create media for your budget. When we were developing the brand identity for SMQ we really wanted to dig into highlighting the primary brand colours. Pushing the purple vibes created a more unique vibrant look that we felt would cut through the oversaturated boring looking fitness videos we saw out there.

Not having a lot of space to work with, we experimented with creating these amazing silhouette shots in my living room. If you swiped to the end you'll see the wall we used and how limited the space actually was. Using the magic of Photoshop, we then used a function called content aware fill that can replicate the outside edges of a photo and shaped it into a larger space that felt more cinematic. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best solutions. It's not always about throwing more money at a project.

Questions? Ama in the comments. 🀌
