Steven is the Sweetpea's Floral Studio / Moist puppy.

Beautiful day, the Railpath was busy today.
Started by meeting Steven at Auxiliary Fitness , then we strolled the laneway behind 221 Sterling Road to checkout what was at the Doggie stick library , the amazing installation by Pipe & Wood Designs || Britt 👷🏻‍♀️ .

Then up the Railpath to Gaspar Cafe , I got a honey lemon cold brew and they had Steven had some of their finest dog treats.

Continued along to the very top so Steven could stare lovingly at myneighbourhoodmechanic .

A good day indeed.

A special weekday Railpathing with Steven the Sweetpea's Floral Studio / Moist puppy.

Since it's a Wednesday, we had to visit his friends at myneighbourhoodmechanic .

We relaxed in the little parkette along the Railpath

Had some digging in sand in Carlton Park.

And took some time to roll around in the grass and be silly

So happy to have the whole Railpath back.

The mini loaf is sour cherry dark chocolate. As always the mini loaves are vegan and gluten free.

The scone is a personal favourite. Pecan cinnamon bun. Yup, a scone based off a cinnamon bun with pecans. I'm a big fan of cinnamon buns. I think I've probably tried every one available in our west Toronto neighbourhood. Maybe eventually we'll add cinnamon buns at Saving Mondays, but try this scone. I guess I'm bragging but I think it's really good.

A very special Railpathing with Steven today.
Steven is the Sweetpea's Floral Studio /Moist puppy.
Today was the very first time in his life that he could walk the entire Railpath.
Yup, from Dundas to Cariboo, open .

First I met Steven at Auxiliary Fitness after getting an ETHICA COFFEE ROASTERS coffee .

We had to wait out a bunch of rain then started at the very southern point, Dundas and Sterling.
Walked over Bloor and along the brand new just reopened part.
At the Wallace St Bridge Steven likes to go along Sousa Mendes. We both got treats. I bought a chocolate chip muffin at Gaspar Cafe and Livia gave Steven a couple treats.

Finally over the Dupont Bridge and right to the very end.

Took way to many years, but the Railpath is finally back. Looking forward to many times walking up and down.

Always something good coming out of the Gaspar Cafe ovens.
Before opening one thing is the Portuguese Milk Tarts. Light, sweet, tasty and hint of cinnamon and baked fresh daily in house.
Have you tried one ? If not maybe today is the day.

It's been two years!!
August 1st, 2024 My Neighbourhood Mechanic opened at the top of the Railpath. Cariboo Ave suddenly became a lot more colourful.
Congratulations to Rui and his whole team on carrying on the tradition that Josie and Michael built for 25 years at the other place on Howard Park.
Honesty, fair pricing, good work regardless of who you are.
Victoria, the manager of Saving Mondays, and I wanted to say thank you and congratulations in our way. With sweets.
Cookies and mini versions of our new cinnamon bun scones baked and packed up and we crossed the Railpath bridge to visit our Mechanic neighbours.

Brand new at Chocolate, Coffee, Pastries and Ice Cream , their version of a Twix bar.

They have already done their versions of Cherry Blossoms, Kit Kats and Turtles, all good. Twix though is my favourite big name chocolate bar, so I needed to try this.
Owner Trent said maybe it's a bit to much shortbread. I get what he was saying but unlike the real bar, this shortbread is fresh, not stale at all.

Overall it's just a damn fine chocolate bar, maybe not exactly like the original, but in my opinion, better.

Norm and Lenore's is at 2743 Dundas St West.

Heads up, They are closed August 1st thru 5th, open again August 6th

But they are also open today and tomorrow, July 31st

Railpathing with Steven the Sweetpea's Floral Studio / Moist puppy.

In the alley behind 227 Sterling Road you'll find a doggie stick library. This was built and stocked by Pipe & Wood Designs || Britt 👷🏻‍♀️ . Small businesses always finding unique ways to support the community

We checked out the art installation by GSS CANADA at Ruskin on the Railpath.

Also the mural along the Railpath on Sterling Road by Bareket | Mural Artist

Finally Steven was looking at thd hopefully soon to be reopened part of the Railpath by the GO Station, cmon Metrolinx .

Railpathing with Steven

First he had to look longingly at myneighbourhoodmechanic , he doesn't understand the weekend thing yet.

After walk down the Railpath and back up we had to stop at gram's pizza for Steven's fave water stop, and obviously I'm gonna get some pizza

Watching the World Cup final at home, then back to Railpathing
