Getting dressed in a way that feels good to me is one of the best things I do for my mental health and self care 💚
And I’m not talking about dressing in a way that comforts you, yes, that sweatsuit feels cozy but it doesn’t make me feel like the best version of myself. And it REALLY doesn’t signal my brain that we are ready to work. It makes me want to curl up on the couch with a book, which is great but doesn’t pay the bills.
I threw this dress on yesterday after wearing it for my birthday 4 days before, I saw it hanging in my laundry room and it made me smile so I put it on.
And let me tell you, I kicked yesterday’s A$S.
I got so much done, was in the best mood and was energized all day.
Honestly I was a little overwhelmed by my to do list but as soon as I put that dress on I just got to work, I did
✨ 4 Colour Analysis
✨ Had a 2 hour zoom call with a client for her 3 style factors and planning her capsule wardrobe
✨Cleared my inbox
✨ Organized and re-arranged my schedule for a in person capsule wardrobe and a closet edit
✨Booked in 3 more clients for August
✨Pre planned some social media
I am not exaggerating when I say there is no way I would have done that in a blah outfit!
An outfit that makes you feel like the best version of yourself is more powerful then you may think 💚💜🧡❤️🩵💛💙
