Today, March 29, ZigiMedia my digital marketing agency turns 10.
That milestone means a lot to me because the beginning was not easy.
There were times when money was tight. The kind of tight where you are not thinking about growth. You are thinking about how to keep the business alive. How to pay the bills. How much longer you can hold on.
I had moments where I seriously considered driving Uber just to keep things going.
That is the side of entrepreneurship people do not always see (or discuss).
People see the business years later. They see the brand, the growth, and the wins. They do not always see the stress, the sleepless nights, the client losses, the self-doubt, or the moments where you wonder if you can keep going.
I have had those moments.
I have wanted to quit.
I have questioned myself.
And after a partnership breakup, I had to decide whether I was going to let it break me or take control and build the company the way I truly believed it should be built.
The truth is, most businesses do not make it.
About 20% do not make it past year one. By year 5, about half are gone. By year 10, about 70% do not make it.
That is why 10 years means a lot to me.
Not because it was easy.
Because it was not.
It means something because we kept going. We found our niche, built real relationships, helped our clients get real results, and kept showing up.
And in a world being reshaped by AI, I am still optimistic. The tools will change, but trust, relationships, vision, and real value still matter.
I am grateful for every lesson, every setback, every client, every team member, and every person who has been part of this journey.
10 years in.
And we are just getting started.
