On May 1st, 2023 we were informed by the victim in Marcel André Vautour’s criminal fraud case for which he is facing up to fourteen years in prison, that Marcel never returned to the Upton, Quebec drug rehabilitation facility that he was required to stay at by order of the court. Marcel’s case is currently in the pro-forma stage at the Palais de Justice in Drummondville, Quebec, and there has been very little meaningful progress since his arrest on October 5th, 2022.

We were horrified to learn that not only was Marcel residing at this facility, but he was granted weekend release privileges, even after victims from across the country submitted statements and evidence to both the Drummondville police and the prosecutor in the case that Marcel is a flight risk.

Congratulations, you have been conned.

We are demanding more transparency, more resources to be devoted to this case, and a nationwide warrant.
