Not every conference carries the same weight of real‑world impact.

This April, the Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO) Conference gathered 650+ leaders, practitioners, policy makers, and advocates at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto for Ontario’s largest conference in the child and youth mental health sector.

Guided by the theme “Interwoven”, this event focused on learning, dialogue, and cross-sector collaboration - all working toward strengthening the systems that support children, youth, and families.

This was our second time supporting CMHO, and the intent was clear: balance the demands of content with the human need for pause. Moments for connection, rest, and recovery were intentionally incorporated, allowing conversations to unfold with greater care, depth, and meaning.

Shout out to some of our lovely vendors:

If you’re interested in what it takes to design events that balance strategic outcomes with human experience, follow us to explore how mission‑driven conferences are brought to life with intention.

LOMA Agency 10 Lessons in 10 Years - Week 6️⃣

Lesson #6: Scale doesn’t come from working harder, it comes from working clearer.

In the early days, effort goes a long way. With time, that changes.

Process creates freedom:
Clear roles. Better handoffs. Fewer surprises. More space to think creatively.

Systems don’t limit creativity. On the contrary, they protect it.

What system changed the game for your team?

"Small details send big signals.

Spacing. Formatting. Follow‑through.
They may seem minor, but they shape how people experience your work and how much they trust you.

Care is never invisible.
Precision is a form of respect.

Ten years in, I’ve learned that the “little things” are often the loudest." - Loren Maisels

What detail do you think is most underestimated?

You are attending the most important awards ceremony of the year, with your entire outfit planned, hair & nails done, ready to make a first impression. We make sure bad breath isn’t the thing holding you back.

Offering mints, chocolate, or a branded candy item at the registration desk is a LOMA tradition and one we’re proud to pass on.

At professional events and global gatherings, where every handshake carries weight and every conversation counts connection begins the moment guests arrive at the registration desk.

Why small touches like these matter:

• Confidence to connect - fresh breath before meaningful conversations.
• Branding at every touchpoint - even the smallest item can make an impact
• A sweet gesture - guests feel welcomed and cared for with a sweet treat boost .
• Perfect refresher - exactly what someone may need between sessions and meals.

At events where trust, culture, and relationships drive real business outcomes, these micro-moments don’t go un-noticed, they’re intentional.

Because at the end of the day, people will always remember how you made them feel.

"The best experiences are emotional and operational.

People remember how something made them feel.
But that feeling is built on structure, planning, and invisible effort.

I’ve learned that magic doesn’t happen without mechanics, and flawless ex*****on means nothing without meaning.

The real work lives at the intersection of story and structure." - Loren Maisels
