“...raising each other up and channeling the power of collaboration is truly how we’ll change the equation—and have a lot more fun along the way.” So true which is why supporting other women is a top priority for me. In doubt, I’d always chose a woman over a man, just because supporting each other is for the collective good.

We need to reverse the stereotype that women don’t support other women. There is research that shows women in particular benefit from collaboration over competition. Here is advice from women leaders on how to find and cultivate a close network of female professionals.

Most commentators conclude that Marie Kondo is a hypocrite. As a communicator, I see it through a different lens: The problem here is a company that has either never formulated its purpose or doesn’t follow through with it which leads to inconsistent messaging. And, of course, it backfires.

I gave a communications workshop last weekend in Sudbury as part of the Cohousing Options Canada team. I had so much fun with the Sweetfern Cohousing group, our client, and I am 100% confident that they will be successful with their project.

Interview with PR expert Ansgar Zerfass on strategic communications published in a German PR news magazine. Too bad it’s in German. Bottom line is: strategic PR supports an organization’s success. In order to do so it needs to be directly linked to and informed by the corporate strategy. Obvious though often not implemented as the value PR can have is often underestimated. I am sure my fellow colleagues would agree :)

From my experience in the clean tech sector, I know all too well that stakeholders need corporations to comply with their values and expectations. Their minimum expectations are a purpose beyond profit maximization and corporate values that align with and guide corporate behaviour. If this isn't the case, it puts business transactions at risk, e.g. renewable energy projects. So clearly, purpose is more important than ever and essential to the long-term prosperity and profit of corporations, whole industries and brands.

Purpose to drive business as much as shareholder value. From PR Week

I love developing public relations strategies for start ups - today is my lucky day! I also still get some inspiration from my favourite PR strategy book that was recommended to me at the beginning of my career back in Germany. Love the sharpness and the subtle humour of the authors.
