Another historic moment for Canadian soccer! While our tournament run has come to an end, the Canada Men's National Team continues to rewrite the record books on the world stage. Fueled by a series of unforgettable performances during the 2026 World Cup, this team has shown the world what Canadian soccer is capable of achieving.
The group stage was defined by a breathtaking 6-0 victory against Qatar—the largest margin of victory ever recorded by a CONCACAF team in men's World Cup history. This match also saw Jonathan David net a stunning hat-trick, making him the first CONCACAF player to achieve this feat at the tournament since 1930.
The momentum carried into the knockout phase, where the team secured its first-ever knockout victory: a 1-0 win against South Africa. In a moment that will be remembered for generations, co-captain Stephen Eustáquio sealed the win with a dramatic goal in injury time.
Although the final result wasn't what we hoped for, these historic milestones and the immense growth of the squad are what truly define this chapter.
