A Gameplan for Leadership 📖
Hussein Abdullahi facilitated “A Game Plan for Leadership Workshop for the JPII Student Man-Up Group, Through a series of interactive activities and group challenges, students explored key leadership themes such as teamwork, accountability, and problem-solving.We're proud to help shape the next generation of change-makers through engaging and purpose-driven programming. Special thanks to the entire JPII community for welcoming us and investing in youth leadership development.

Umoja 🏀 Skills Camp
Our first Umoja Basketball Skills Camp created an inclusive environment for 60 youth from across Durham Region, offering an inclusive space where basketball training met personal growth.

Earlier this month, Our team hosted our Rumble Screening Night in Partnership with University of Toronto ScarboroughUniversity of Toronto Scarborough, welcoming 40 community members to the Sam Ibrahim Building.

The evening featured an exclusive premier of An Ode to the Decade: A Rumble Doc. Post-screening, Our Director & Producers Hussein Abdullahi and Jacob David led an engaging Q&A session, diving into topics like the origin story of Rumble, community Impact, and future plans.

To cap off the night, attendees enjoyed light refreshments provided by Mais Popcorn, Patty King Bakery Scarborough’, and Celsius Energy Drinks.

The WNBA is coming to Toronto in 2026, per CBC Sports. Larry Tanenmbaum’s Kilmer Sports Inc. has been granted an expansion franchise with the WNBA.

This comes just one week after a he WNBA Canada Game sell-out game for for the second consecutive year. The WNBA’s exponential growth has been remarkable, adding Toronto in the fold can prove that Canada is a hot spot for talent.

The 2024 WNBA Season starts tomorrow with a doubleheader headline by Indiana fever star Caitlin Clark who will make her WNBA debut.

South Carolina Defeats Iowa for the National Championship. Coach Dawn Staley has completed an unprecedented season 38-0!

Coach Staley becomes the 5th women’s basketball coach to win three NCAA championships and the first Black coach -male or female to win 3 NCAA championships.

South Carolina’s victory over Iowa captured an audience of 18.7 million on ABC and ESPN. Iowa and Caitlin Clark has the top three audiences for women’s basketball (12.3 Million, 14.2 Million,18.7 Million).
