What's New in Social Media Marketing? Check Out the 2023 Social Media Marketing Industry Report!
Social media is constantly changing and evolving, and so are the strategies and tactics of marketers who use it. That's why we're excited to share with you the latest insights and trends from the 2023 Social Media Marketing Industry Report by Social Media Examiner.
This report is based on a survey of more than 2,100 marketers from around the world, who shared their experiences and opinions on various aspects of social media marketing. Here are some of the key findings:
● Facebook is losing its appeal: Marketers are shifting their focus away from Facebook, as its organic reach and engagement continue to decline. Only 45% of marketers consider Facebook their most important platform, which is down from 67% in 2018.
● YouTube is gaining momentum: Marketers are embracing YouTube as a powerful video marketing tool, with 59% planning to increase their use of YouTube video—the highest percentage of any platform. Plus, 68% want to learn more about organic video marketing on YouTube.
● Instagram is still hot: Instagram remains a popular and effective platform for marketers, with 80% using it and 56% planning to increase their organic activities on it. Instagram is also the second most important social platform for marketing (behind Facebook).
● TikTok is growing fast: TikTok is attracting more marketers, with 22% using it and 38% planning to increase their activity on it. TikTok is also the top platform that marketers want to learn more about, along with YouTube.
● Facebook still dominates: Despite its challenges, Facebook is still the most widely used and impactful platform for marketers, with 89% using it and 67% using Facebook ads. Facebook also drives the most traffic and contributes the most to sales.
