Omg, some clients go all out! We were fortunate to work with Schultz Frost LLP on their brand new company website and look what they had delivered. Long work hours, late nights but all worth it when you have such a happy client. So glad they loved the end result. I'll be posting soon!

Nothing makes me happier than working with clients that are going though a branding process for the very first time. The point in time, when their optimism gleams and the opportunities seem endless but the workload seems daunting and overwhelming. This is where education is key, a well organized process is important and the groundwork gets created for the best possible outcome.

Isn't this the absolute truth. Why don't more companies ask their clients how they want to use their websites and software to work? What content, what process etc.? They spend time looking at the competition, deciding what they want to consumer to know and how they want them to behave in order to path them into making a decision and spend little or no time asking them what they want. This past week, two clients attempted to pay us using Freshbooks/PayPal. The interface asks clients to confirm payment 3 times within the process. Both clients aborted the process before confirming the final 3 confirmation thinking the payment had gone through. This is a clear example of the UX working one way, and the user working another!

Thinking about old times when Shops at Don Mills (SADM) had just been built and when the entire idea of an outdoor mall was so new to Canada. JM+ (OBC) was hired on to review their wayfinding. As in, imagine a shopping venue with no directories and no signs...confusing in the least for sure. Of course like everything we do...our relationship grew from there. We even pitched (strategy and design) - one of the very first mobile apps for their shops directory.

Last Spring JM+ was asked to develop a Trend Report for the recently renovated Bramalea City Centre (BCC). Our mission was to develop a high-end editorial feel mailer and in-centre trend report that would let consumers know that BCC was evolving to a fashion hub that could compete with higher end malls in the region. This project catapulted to additional centre branding needs including the development of a new colour palette for the centre. The services that we provided specific to this project as follows; product sourcing for shoots, on-site creative direction for photo shoot, overall design and production of report, copywriting as well as carry through in the development of all additional campaign requirements such as social media re-skinning, on-line advertising and community outreach advertising and signage. While we can not be credited for developing the BCC website, JM+ provided the overall creative direction as well as on-going UX (Design/usability) consultation services to Marketing Director, Alan Gomez to ensure all consumer usability needs were met and that design was in keeping with Centre mandates and current design trends. Thank you Bramalea City Centre for the opportunity to work with you on this project.
