Every time I head to the , my DMs are flooded with busy moms, working women and entrepreneurs who are so curious about “how” I travel solo. Girl, I book a ticket and go. ✈️
On the other side of fear is the reset you have been waiting for. It’s peace, eating and sleeping when you want, and the glorious sun, sea and sand. ☀️🌊🌴
I’ve visited Grand Cayman eight times 🤭 and three times solo. And I keep going back because of the short flight, incredible food, safety, luxury, and ability to roam like a local.
Hotels:
There are tons of options on the island, from high end, to budget to weekly rentals. I’ve stayed at several times. It has the cutest kitchen and full access to .
Shoutout to Ella and Gill at SS for always going above and beyond 🙏🏾
Food:
Cayman is not a resort island. You have easy access to several public beaches and are free to visit other hotels for food and entertainment.
Some of my fave restaurants:
✨Cocoloba @ seafireresort
✨Veranda and in
✨Tortuga + Beach House + Ferdinand’s
✨
✨Singh’s Roti shop in Geogetown
✨ (incredible local food at the hot table)
Travelling:
Grand Cayman is a short flight from Toronto (under fours hours with ) and once you land it’s super easy and safe to get around. I hop on the bus frequently to grab groceries, head out to dinner and go shopping. Buses run frequently to town and up and down Seven Mile Beach.
Day trips:
There are several activities on the island, but my fave is always the trip to Stingray city and lunch at with . This time we actually had a detour to starfish point - most magical place ever.
Shopping:
There is such a mix of luxury shopping and local markets. I headed to on Wednesday when they have their local artisans market to grab some pieces of local art.
🌴 Every time I return to Grand Cayman I discover sometime new. Most of all, my soul gets the reset it has been craving when I travel solo. It’s never a question of if I will return, it’s just a matter of when ❤️ PS last pic 😭 🐓
