I'm taking it down tonight and installing Sweet ♥️ in it's place.

My window installation is up! It's a day late thanks to a +Covid test that extended my quarantine time. Being in quarantine meant I couldn't install myself, so I had to wait until the very best remote installer was available.
I sat in the car and talked the ever patient through assembling the pieces together over the phone. You can see her skilled hands and masked face in pic 5. I'll take some better shots at a less reflective time and post proper pics later. Feel free to check it out in person (that's what it is designed for)! It's up until the 31st in the window at 787 Queen West. Many many thanks to

First full size piece done! And while still in quarantine! Taking a pic in front of the record shelf was both out of necessity (to the apartment is a mess) and fitting. 'Protest Poster' was inspired by a song after all.
It was also inspired by the amazing work of Tré Seals .co This particular 'poster' features his Carrie Font. Inspired by the posters held at the 1915 New York Suffrage March which was led by Carrie Chapman Catt.

Doing some paint tests for the upcoming installation in the window of
These mini versions of 'Protest Poster' are good for colour selection, but bad for depth of field selfies. Thanks to for making these little signs of protest to paintest on.

Merry Christmas and/or Whatever else you choose to celebrate on these next couple of of days. I hope everyone is hunkered down with their loved one's (physically or spiritually) and staying as safe, healthy and as small grouped you can. Please enjoy the digital version of my Christmas Card this year as well as an outake from this year's photo session. ♥️
PS: As much as I wanted the green screen pics to work, I eventually had to shoot her on a white background. Too much time would be spent getting the green glow out of the silver horns.

Here are a few daytime shots of the new window. Plus, the original instructions I used to make the muffin cup ornaments. As seen in the 1960 Christmas Ideas issue of Better Homes & Gardens. They were easy to make once you get the hang of it. Pro tip: COLD TEMPERATURE GLUE GUN saved my fingers on this build.

Great article on my awesome client Amin Mamdani and his 'vision quest' for . He has always valued creative windows as part of the store experience; and I am grateful to have been able to watch his 'chichi independent' optical empire grow over the past 7 years!

Happy first day of Fall! when and I got our macrame on and made 20+ of these jute owls for .
They ranged in size from 4ft long to 2ft long and were a hoot to make despite the time it took to make them. 😀 Copy reads: Who Are You Looking At? & Very Wise Choices For Your Eyes!

Goodbye cozy small space with a nice view and good neighbors. SWIPE: Hello cozy slightly bigger space with no view (but with MORE SPACE!!) and still the same good neighbors. Now the unpacking fun begins! I'll do the books first. So that when I need a break, I will have something to distract me! Thanks to movers , , Raul and to craft supply organizer !

Swipe to see my labour on Labour Day! New fall windows up for ! Featuring fall flavors and feels made with paper, tissue paper, glue sticks, my trusty .inc cameo and my hands. I have been displaying the fruits of my labour in this window for many years. It was while doing a Christmas window here roughly 15 years ago, that I realized that window dressing was I job I really enjoyed doing; and doing something I love, makes it feel less like work. Wishing everyone a happy Labour Day and hoping that you are all doing what you love to do (work or not).
