Forget Netflix true crime, or Icelandic thrillers and sit down tonight and watch this magnificent medley of musicians pay tribute to Leonard Cohen. We are so thrilled to have supported the documentation over the past 3 years of the concerts of Art of Time Ensemble so that while stages may remain silent we can enjoy these moving musical performances. Kudos to the brilliant editing and cinematography by our team; led by the multi-talented Mike Fiore.

A Singer Must Die (2018) is our tribute to the late Leonard Cohen, featuring a group of artists - singers, authors and musicians alike - with profound respec...

Do you love to write? In need of a creative outlet? ✏️📖⁣

Maggie’s got you covered. For Issue 03: Mending - we are want you to share what mending means to you. Mending can look like so many things: a button stitched back onto a shirt by a friend, a hug after a hard conversation, a policy change that narrows an inequality gap for everyone.⁣

The fine print - submit a complete draft (500-1500 words) or a pitch (100-300 words) of an article following one of the structures below: ⁣

• First-person essay: a personal narrative supported by evidence-based research and connected to a large cultural issue⁣
• Non-fiction essay, reported piece, or interview⁣
• Feminist critique of a recent book, film, album, cultural trend, etc. ⁣
• Poetry or short fiction⁣

Submissions are open until March 31st, 2021 at 11:59pm - all other details around article pitches can be found at the link in our bio.⁣

This dreamy ombre purple embroidery was done by one of Maggie’s incredible social creators 💜

Watch THIS! Best example on how to pivot during COVID. Lessons from young 20-somethings. Last spring, Insomniac Film Festival put out a call to be a part of a broken telephone quarantine filmmaking project. What resulted was a feature length, funny, strange, collaborative, exciting and youthful film made by 16 talented filmmakers and filmmaking teams!! Via the talented young people I meet through my daughter Lucie's classmates at Etobicoke School for the Arts.

COVID has brought many challenges- virtual recording, shooting in studios and empty offices across the country... but some of the most fun we've had has creating how-to's for clients and their partners to get everyone creating better UGC. Or as we like to call it D-UGC.... "Directed" user-generated content. Give them tools and make it fun, we've found everyone wants to get creative and mine their inner filmmaker.

If you need a documentary filmmaker/cinematographer check out the work of Anastasia Trofimova. (And all her films .works) Since we met her over a decade ago she has ferociously tackled the toughest subjects. Whether it was the day she jumped on a bus with a camera to try to shoot President Obama’s first swearing-in, (without credentials and got within 100 feet of the podium with a camera!) or when she dressed as a young man to film secret weapon stashes in refugee camps in Lebanon or tackled dangerous research in Bosnia tracking down human traffickers, or since she left for Moscow, documenting the complexity of conflicts in the middle east, she was always; fearless. Fearless for the truth, for the story, often putting her own safety at risk, in Syria, Iraq, and beyond. Anastasia’s drive has always been to expose injustice while illuminating the strength of the human condition in the face of a range of unimaginable conflicts. Proud to know you. Proud to have worked alongside you!

Documentary director/cinematographer. Footage taken from the following films: "Her War: Women vs. ISIS" "Victims of ISIS" "The Road to Raqqa" "Congo, My Prec...
