The office of "Wines of Germany - Canada" provides marketing communications support for all German wine products as well as communications support to the producers and exporters of German wines that operate in this market. Serving on behalf of the Deutsches Weininstitut in Mainz, our communications support is focused on a wide base of constituents including: wine media, licensees, agent representa

tives, sommeliers, liquor board buyers, government officials and consumers at large. Communication is generated through promotional and wine marketing activities as well as tutor tasting seminars and wine tastings. We provide issue management support to the German wine industry on topics impacting on the marketing of German wine in Canada. We also collaborate with the many industry partners and wine trade associations across Canada to promote wine appreciation and better access to German wines.

Sekt (German sparkling wines) are usually considered a great aperitive wine, however they are also great gastronomic wines. Sekts have a special affinity with anything fat and salty – like plain crisps! Depending on the style, it can also be poured with oysters, scallop ceviche, salmon tartare or gravlax, fried calamari... Totally versatile! Cheers!
