For Black History Month, I really wanted to provide film photos to Black folks. If you know me, you know how important I think it is that we control our own narratives and tell our own stories. Less than two hours after posting this on stories/Twitter/etc, we are officially filled up!

Although spots are all filled, everyone can come on down for some drinks + refreshments as well as sounds provided by + 🤍

Throughout October we decided that we were going to hold a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Society of Canada in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer is a cause that hits close to home for many of the staff at CRUEL. We had a goal to raise $5000 and decided to participate in milestone challenges on our Instagram page when we hit them.

We had staff singing off key karaoke, dying their hair, and getting slimed all in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness. At the end of the month we hosted an event for all of our donors to say thank you.

In the end we were able to raise, over $15,000 for The Breast Cancer Society of Canada. It’s been so humbling to watch our community come together and participate in this cause. We had never done anything like this before and we are so overjoyed with the success of the campaign, and the lasting impact these donations will make. In late 2020 we were approached with an opportunity to take our talents to Kitchener and build another brand for Canadian cannabis lovers. After many long nights, endless Zoom calls arguing about authenticity and brand voice... WAGNERS was born. Inspired by a mutual appreciation for hard work and perseverance between the JWC, the CRUEL team, and the timeless aesthetic of post-industrial towns in Ontario. WAGNERS is a no bu****it brand, standing for the way w**d in Canada should be... WELL MADE.
