Tomorrow, Jan 27/2015 marks the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the world’s most notorious site of mass murder - Auschwitz-Birkenau. In commemoration, myself, Naomi Wise, our company Garrison Creek Media co-produced a short documentary with the March of the Living organization. It will be shown tomorrow on Parliament Hill in Ottawa as part of our government’s official commemoration of the event. It will be attended by our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, other members of government and Survivors. It is an honour to have it screened as part of this event but more so to get to know some of the extraordinary men and women who survived the camp and prospered in spite of what happened to them.
