Before reeling in real estate deals, Amy was reeling in bass at Spencer's Point on the Bay of Fundy, where she made some of her most cherished memories at her family cottage.

From a young age, she learned that patience and persistence are required to land a big catch. So when she became a real estate lawyer and eventually a REALTOR®, the skills she developed spending summers on the Fundy Shore were a natural fit.

From childhood adventures in Harmony with her sister to days spent fishing on the Bay during law school, each chapter has helped shape who Amy is today. The people, places, and experiences she encountered along the way continue to influence how she approaches both life and work.

From casting a line on the Bay of Fundy to navigating real estate transactions, Amy brings patience, persistence, and a thoughtful approach to every client she serves.

POV: You took the advice to visit Victoria Park after all the recent rain.

The waterfalls are still flowing strong, the trails are lush and green, and Jacob’s Ladder is waiting if you’re feeling ambitious.

If you’ve been meaning to get outside, this is your sign. Waterfall season doesn’t last forever, and right now Victoria Park is looking pretty spectacular.

Have you been up to the falls yet this spring?

🌊 Today is World Ocean Day.

What if the debris washing up on our shores could become something meaningful?

Debris to Design is a community stewardship project led by the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark and Parrsboro Creative that invites participants to collect human made waste from local shorelines and transform it into creative works of art.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about marine pollution while celebrating the role we all play in protecting the Bay of Fundy and the natural spaces we share.

Participants are encouraged to collect items such as lobster bands, fishing rope, plastic containers, and other human made debris while leaving natural materials like rocks, fossils, driftwood, seaweed, and minerals where they belong.

Completed designs will be featured in a community showcase at the Parrsboro Bandstand on August 1, 2026.

On World Ocean Day, it's a reminder that caring for our coastlines can take many forms, from stewardship and conservation to creativity and community action.

🍦 ICE CREAM TOUR: STOP #1 🍦

We’re kicking off a summer ice cream adventure across Central Nova Scotia, and first up is Gia’s Diner & Treats in Hilden.

Sure, the ice cream is worth the stop, but what makes Gia’s a little different is what happens every Wednesday night.

From 6 to 9 p.m., classic cars, hot rods, motorcycles, and automotive enthusiasts roll in for the weekly Cruise Night, creating a nostalgic summer atmosphere that’s become a local tradition. Grab an ice cream, wander through the rows of vehicles, and enjoy a classic summer evening.

🍔 Local tip: The cheeseburgers at Gia’s are the best of the best.

Now I need your help.

As a self proclaimed ice cream connoisseur, I’m on a mission to find the best ice cream spots in Central Nova Scotia this summer. Where should I head next?

Tell me about your favourite hidden gem, roadside stand, dairy bar, canteen, or ice cream shop in the comments. Bonus points if it’s somewhere I haven’t discovered yet! 🍦☀️

The motorcycles may be what bring people out, but the community is what keeps Masstown Bike Night rolling. 🏍️❤️

What started years ago as a small gathering of riders in Debert has grown into one of the largest weekly motorcycle meetups in the region.

As attendance grew, the group moved to Masstown Market and continued to expand. After outgrowing the original gathering area behind the market, Bike Night found its current home in the parking lot at the Masstown Creamery & Butcher Shop, where more than 200 bikes have gathered on some evenings.

A few years ago, organizers asked riders what they wanted Bike Night to become. One idea stood out: giving back.

Today, every Tuesday night features a 50/50 draw, with proceeds supporting a different local charity or organization each week throughout the season.

Last year alone, the weekly draw generated more than $15,000 in prize money and charitable giving, including over $7,500 donated to local causes such as Transition House, the Colchester Food Bank, the SPCA, SchoolsPlus, Hospice Society, and many others.

So far this season, donations have already been made to local organizations including TREY (Trauma Response for Exploited Youth) and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, with weekly donations continuing throughout the summer.

Not bad for a Tuesday night tradition that started with a handful of riders getting together for a ride.

📍 Masstown Bike Night takes place every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. during riding season. Whether you ride or simply enjoy seeing hundreds of motorcycles roll in, it’s worth stopping by. 🏍️

Have you ever been to Masstown Bike Night?
