Days 29 - 33. That’s a wrap. On to the journey in return. We miss our adventure already, as weary and ready as we are. Still laughing, although struggling through airports late at night with all our luggage was not so fun. Nothing a little sleep can’t fix.

Highlights: the heli flight out, landing at the military airstrip in Narsarsuaq, hitting the hot springs in Reykjavik, flying over our camp on the way to Toronto. How surreal. To see our base camp from above, on the flight path we had noticed overhead.

It will take time to process, relive the experience and feel it slip away as we go back to who we were before. Until next time. And looking forward to the stories that resurface.

Greenland feels like home. Sort of. We’ve been gone two weeks+ but time stretches here. The ancient world emerges from beneath glaciers, vast, barren, intensely beautiful. Scale means nothing to the camera or to us. So much has happened, months are packed into days. We haven’t started our initial contract work yet despite many long shifts without rest. We’re in so far and so deep that we just keep going. At best, it’s a 40 minute heli ride out of here to somewhere, and then two flights to somewhere else to begin our return home. At best because the weather is unpredictable and changes in an instant. And yes the wind.
