hi, i’m Katie! 👋

✨whats your favorite feed aesthetic?
i love a minimal, clean aesthetic for myself but enjoy working on all sorts of aesthetics for clients! finding an aesthetic that works well for each company is one of the best parts

✨what made you go into social media?
i’ve always had a passion for social media + content creation - even growing up i had a small youtube channel i would post on! social media has grown and changed so much over the years, it’s been really interesting to learn + grow alongside it

✨a tip/something you’ve learned that you wish you could tell your past self?
you never have to settle in what you do. if you’re unhappy in your current role or know that you have a desire to do something different - just take the jump!

✨one food you couldn’t live without?
sushi! 🍣 i’m obsessed with sushi and let’s be honest, vancouver does it best

✨what made you go into graphic design?
I’ve always loved art + typography but I was also was super interested in entrepreneurship. For me design is the perfect crossroads of art + strategy and gives me the opportunity to work with like minded business owners.

✨a tip/something you’ve learned that you wish you could tell your past self?
Just keep creating! Leading a creative life can be hard but it’s always going to be worth it

Recently I’ve been obsessed with website design

✨one food you couldn’t live without
Avocado 🥑 but I’m also a sucker for sushi, ramen, ice cream, pasta.. I mean how do you pick?!

anyone else obsessed with .mikailabrown ‘s colour palette?! 😍

colour inspiration can come from anywhere - but is an extremely important aspect of how your brand is perceived! there’s tons of psychology that goes into how we interpret + interact with colour.

you have lots to consider when you’re developing a palette that will align with your target audience & stay relevant - but don’t worry we’re here to help!

mikaila wanted us to pull inspiration from the colours of a sunflower! we used yellow to represent the warm & energetic approach Mikaila takes in her practice. we pulled in green to symbolize the growth, stability & endurance of her patients & brown to create a sense of grounding🌻✨
