French marketing, but make it rural France. 😂🇫🇷

One thing we’ve found hilarious since moving to France is how many local events we’ve discovered simply because someone put a sign on a roundabout.

A couple of hay bales? Perfect.

A handmade sign pointing you towards the next Fête or festival? Even better.

And you know what? It works.

These little signs are everywhere, and somehow the local community knows exactly what’s happening and actually turns up.

Coming from a much more digital marketing world, it’s been a funny reminder that sometimes you really don’t need to overcomplicate it.

If it works, it works. 😂

Honestly, we’ve lost count of how many Fêtes and festivals we’ve found purely because we happened to drive past a roundabout.

Sometimes the simplest marketing is the one people actually notice. 👀

Some seasons are for growing.
Some are for blooming. 🌻

Our first year running a business in France has taught us something we didn’t expect: how to slow down.

Coming from North America and South East Asia, where the culture can very much feel like go, go, go, adjusting to the French pace has been an experience.

August is probably the biggest example. So many businesses slow down or close for the summer holidays, and at first, it felt so strange to us.

But we’re starting to understand it.

Here, there seems to be more intention around making time for work and making time to actually live.

We’re still learning how to find that balance, but maybe that’s part of growing too. 🤍
