Had a really meaningful experience last week at the 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘳 event hosted by YWCA BC.

It was a collaborative workshop and networking event for early-stage entrepreneurs—but what made it different was the focus on values and real conversation, not just surface-level networking.

The event was thoughtfully designed by 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘇𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗳𝗳, and one of the highlights was the values workshop led by 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗭𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻 from 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. She brought a really practical perspective to how values actually show up in business—not just as ideas, but in decision-making and direction.

I was there representing Petra Dueck Design and got to reconnect with a number of familiar faces from the 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗨𝗽 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 program, along with meeting some great new people.

Also nice to connect with 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗯 from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 while there.

Grateful to be part of events like this that prioritize intention and substance.
