Five years ago, I was standing at the top of the world, literally. I was visiting one of the New Seven Wonders -โฐ Machu Picchu.
ย
Fresh out of school, I packed my bags (and my husband) and off we went on an adventure.ย โ๏ธ
It was life-changing.
ย
Magical โจ
ย
Cool, right?
ย
But then..
What you don't see...
ย . my feet were completely wet from knees down! ๐
ย
My feet were swimming in my shoes, not kidding!
ย
๐ฆ It was raining like crazy in the morning but we hiked in that weather all the way to โThe Sun Gateโ and back.
I spent the whole day in wet shoes and it took a toll on me. I got seriously sick two days later.
ย
But we had so many plans! I really didnโt want it to end just like that (me stuck in bed) ๐ฅบ
ย
How many of us have been there? You a plan and life throws you a curve ball, it all goes awry, yikes!
ย
The lesson I learned from my trip to Macchu Picchuโฆ.
โ
Don't give up at the first obstacle.
ย
โ
Some things are worth doing over and over even if life puts up some (serious) obstacles.
ย
โ
Regardless of the path you decide to pursue, or how much you plan ahead, know that you will encounter uncertainty and even failure.
ย
Expect it.
ย
And Learn from it.
ย
You will become stronger if you donโt give up. ๐ช
ย
Keep these thoughts in mind when you are working on your business, writing your book or dealing with clients.
ย
There won't be always sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.
ย
Wondering how our trip ended? ๐
ย
I sought medical help, got better and we finished our trip strong and made sure most of our plans worked out in the end! ๐คฉ
ย
๐ I've even been thinking I might make a book about it, because, you know.. if life gives you lemons, make lemonade! ๐
