FEATURE: AMA on The Brand Identity

"When Glasfurd & Walker began working on the identity for AMA, they quickly identified some inspiration-rich takeoff points – the retrofuturist slant of the interiors, the Japanese influence on the food, and the seafood-forward menu. However, it all started with the name – AMA meaning ‘sea women’ in Japanese, who are famed for free diving to collect pearls – and the resulting wordmark."

Nammos Estiatorio Van: Taking inspiration from the rich tapestry of Greek culture, we created custom typography inspired by Greek script and created a pattern series made from iconic vases. Just as Greek pottery often tells stories of mythology and daily life, these vases serve as a symbol of the artistry and craftsmanship within the restaurant's kitchen.

Previously named Medikate, we worked with Atmosphera to develop a new name, brand positioning, identity and packaging system for a collection of 16 products.
