Apple has released an urgent iOS and iPadOS update (18.3.1) after discovering a security vulnerability that could allow hackers or law enforcement to bypass passcodes and extract data from locked devices. The flaw, linked to disabling USB Restricted Mode, was reportedly exploited in targeted attacks, prompting Apple’s swift response.

The security patch addresses CVE-2025-24200 and is available for iPhone XS and later, along with various iPad models. Apple also rolled out updates for Macs, Apple Watches, and Vision Pros, though no similar security warnings were issued.

The breach revives concerns over Apple’s long-standing battle to protect user privacy, significantly as its new AI tool, Apple Intelligence, raises alarms about data access.** Experts warn the feature could analyze sensitive banking, financial, and location data, sparking fresh debates on digital security.

The Mission Sports Council is holding its annual golf tournament on September 6th and we have some golf spots left and can all always use more sponsors. All funds raised go to support our Mission children and youth to play a sport they would not otherwise be able to play.
