Shane Simpson, Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and Ann Phelps, Executive Director of Dragon Boat BC spoke at a news conference yesterday to discuss the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival taking place June 21-23. It was a beautiful day to go out on the water and try out a newly constructed lightweight dragon boat, the result of a skills training initiative funded by the BC government.

Sergeant-at-Arms Gary Lenz and Clerk Craig James addressed the media and took questions. Peak coordinated the news conference, achieving over 150 pieces of media coverage.
