It’s been a fun filled and busy couple weeks, 5 days in the mine, then back to forwarders, rock trucks, farm tractors, and more! Left at 4am this morning to go up and do a front crank seal on a Deere 2154G, it was a great trip out there and back!

2 long days heading into a gold mine near Takla Nation. Lots of mining history up there and old ghost towns between Takla and Manson Creek. 7 hr drive in and 6.5 out. 2.5 hrs of which were on a narrow old road that’s not maintained. Lost track of how many creeks I had to drive through. Beautiful country. Took my pickup in a couple years ago but chanced taking in the service truck. Came out with a few scars but nothing that can’t be fixed. Some videos to follow. Crossed a stream back up by a beaver and after some rain I was pushing water with my grill. On my way out in the rain I think I used 4wd in my truck more in 2.5 hrs then I have in 7 years of owning it all together. Gotta keep the customers going 😊

The pinion support bearing has left the chat. 2 day trip up to a gold mine in Manson Creek BC and plans changed the minute I got there. 4.5-5hr drive there and showed up to a bearing failure in a rock truck differential. Disassembled, assessed and cleaned/prepped for the customer for when parts arrive.

While I was there

Rock Truck
-Diagnose diff failure, clean and prep for assembly
-Diagnose and repairs front brakes not working, replace brake master cylinder and damaged caliper

Wheel loader
-Diagnose and repair engine oil pan gasket leaks and other engine oil leaks
-Reseal park brake piston (overfilling transmission)
-Diagnose park brake electrical problems
-Repair boom pin falling out

PC400 Excavator
-Repair/weld broken track pin
-Reseal engine valve covers and injector lines
-Change leaking fuel lines from engine to fuel tank
-Diagnose and repair fuel rail pressure codes

Water pump
-Diagnose and repair engine oil leak
-Diagnose and repair fuel leak

9-10 hrs of driving and alot of work for 2 days. Crashed in my sleeper on my truck for the night and had some great food and good times with some good, hard working people
