What emotions arose when OpenText came to us with an exciting new idea that involved wrangling a live animal on set? Fear? Apprehension? A slow building dread leading right up until the moment we yelled action? NO! We were excited! ...but okay maybe some nerves started to pop up, who knows if we’d have a Black Phillip situation on our hands.
Thankfully we had the Toronto Animal Wranglers on our side and Pajamas was quite the opposite of a cinematic personification of Satan. While working with live animals on a set absolutely has its challenges, for example turns out Pajamas was NOT a fan of bleating when asked and often would wander off in search of food and comfort (who hasn’t done that?), but overall the process was smooth and made for an extremely fun and unique couple of shooting days.
