Hia Media is a diverse print and sign organization that has been operating for over 25 years.
We produce a wide range of printed products, signage, mobile signs, marketing services, and promotional products. We strive to provide top-level service to a wide range of clients in a fast-paced environment, producing 95% of our work in-house.
We are seeking a highly motivated designer who has a strong attention to detail, embody the work ethic and personality that thrives in a fast-paced culture with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
-Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
-Prepare layouts and graphic elements required for all departments - print (digital and offset), sign (digital, flatbed, large format), digital media, promotional and marketing items
-Production Aspects include; use of digital press, bindery & finishing equipment, digital large format printers and mounting / laminators
-Proofreading and inspecting prints/signs for accuracy and color
-Working well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
-Excellent multitasking and organization skills
-Maintaining and filing paperwork appropriately; online software and paper forms
-Bringing quality concerns to attention of appropriate individuals
-Strong interpersonal/communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team
-Able to follow direction and complete assignments quickly, accurately and often to tight deadlines
-Complete command of English, both written and spoken

Requirements
-Certificate/Diploma/Degree required in Graphic Design or other related fields
-Experience with Corel Draw, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office, MS Outlook, and other graphics/rip software packages
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Demonstrated problem solving, organization skills and the ability to multi-task
-Ability to work in a team environment, under pressure, and meet deadlines
-Reliable transportation
Additional Experience (Helpful but not required) * Sign, Print or graphics industry experience
-Interest in or Experience with photography
-Experience with HTML, CSS, JS and other web design technologies (WordPress) an asset
-Interest and knowledge of various Social Media platforms
