I delivered Blue to her new home with Mel and Kayla Evans this weekend and she is settling in nicely. Beautiful set up these girls have for a gentle transition. Lots of options for the horses to be together and apart. Blue will be a replacement trail companion for their other 30-year-old Morgan gelding.

Ace was sold the week prior to Dave and Megan Sharp, only 10 minutes away from Blue on the north end of town. Ace is doing well transitioning into their herd and has 8 hours of pasture a day in a beautiful environment. Dave will be continuing on with his training as a trail companion with their other girl Roo, who is quickly bonding with Ace.
I couldn’t be more happy with where my horses have ended up and I hope these two families enjoy them as much as I did. The great thing is, they are only half an hour away, and I can visit them 🥰🥰. I’m very blessed and thankful how this has worked out. This will frame me up for working with the other youngsters here.
Halter training with River, and trailer training with Honey has commenced and I have hit the trails, getting the horse horses subject to everything in their environment.

Thank you so much Carol Dombrowsky for framing this for me. Many of my breeder friends have supported me along this journey for so many years here in the Yukon. It was one hell of a fight, and my goal was to put a few beautiful horses on the ground in the Yukon. Dealing with even getting a few selected ones up to the Yukon when I am so far away from seeing them was hard enough, then dealing with breeding complications with having no ultrasound, and now no vets. I am proud to say that I have achieved my goal, but now I am doing right by my horses and I am moving onto my next chapter. A few horses will be moving on to some amazing homes in the near future, but I will be keeping the future of Goldsmith Morgan’s alive with a few selected ones. This journey is not for the faint of heart. Blood sweat and tears is an understatement what goes into these beautiful creatures, and they have taught me so very much about myself, and they have always been there to catch me when I fall. Honey was everything I could have hoped for, preserving some of these amazing historic bloodlines and right now is a time for rest and recuperation and a shift. This will not be the end of GoldSmith Morgan’s 💪💪💪.

So I have a name for my new little precious. Seeing as she has the wildest pattern on her back resembling a river, and it hailed and snowed the day after her birth, the world welcomes “GoldSmiths Snowy River” aka “River”. These photos are over a week old and I will be posting new photos of her burning around like the little terror she is! Big girl, so friendly and adventurous so far 💞

Goldsmith Morgan’s would like to announce our last baby from Mystiks Smokin Ace has been born. A. Beautiful big filly that definitely appears to be a smoky black Tobiano and will be registered as a part bred Morgan out of my first bred baby, Goldsmiths Ava Lee. I was watching Ava closely as she is a maiden mare, and I didn’t know what to expect from her. I got the horses separated from her on Monday, nest all made, trimmed her feet last night, and I have been spending a lot of time touching her all over to make sure she she did not give me a problem and go violent on me when the baby was born. Well, it paid off. I went to work this morning and everything looked normal with her, by 9:00am I checked the camera and there was a baby being born right under the camera. I bolted back home and the amniotic sack still was not off all of the way. Had a few trusted friends show up for the amazing event and got to watch baby take her first stance in life. Ava was still pretty tender and was moving away from baby to nurse so thank God this is where the handling comes into play. I helped baby latch on and they are doing absolutely amazing. I didn’t have a lot of worry about Ava being an amazing mother as she has watched from the pros over here and she has been an amazing mentor for all of the other younger horses. Both Mom and baby are doing great, and baby definitely appears very smoky black with a white tufts in the ears, light eyes, and lots of whiter hairs throughout the black. Black man with a dorsal stripe and three white legs with the craziest winding river pattern up and over her back and through her butt cheeks! Hour four she was starting to run around. I am so very proud of my horse family and how they are so close and trusting of humans. Tonka even gave the baby a kiss on the nose. The new baby was even calling out to daddy across the fence at only three hours old.
