It's a sad day for North of 49 Woodworks. Today we delivered our last project (can't post pics yet as it's a gift). We're closing down the shop as we're moving from Williams Lake to Vancouver Island. We will post some of our projects during our hiatus to keep us top of mind, and we'll let everyone know when we get started back up on the coast. Thank you so much to everyone that has supported us over the last 4 years. I broke my own cardinal rule and it bit me in the ass. I don't do any work, whether design or cutting without a deposit, however, I had somebody reach out that was in a panic for some signs, so I did the designing which was over 3 hours, gave a price and then was ghosted. Lesson learned and I won't make that mistake again......I need to follow my own advice.

Had a friend ask if we could build them a sign.....Turned out great, don't mind the language.

Saw a FB post for someone looking for to have a letter L built similar to the F pictured, always happy to help we said yes. They were extremely happy with the outcome. Could this have been purchased online cheaper? Perhaps, however our build will be timeless, hand sanded, 3 coats of primer, each color has 3 coats of paint followed up with 3 coats varathane, like anything, you get what you pay for and we believe in providing a quality product that will last for years.
