A first look at some stills from the short film “Requiem’s Veil” which I had the honour of Directing.
It was the most fun I’ve had on set despite the constant arguing on camera, thanks to the amazingly talented and wonderful cast and crew.
I can’t wait to share Christian’s amazing performance as Lev, a talented yet volatile playwright and director who get’s blacklisted from broadway and is forced to seek refuge in a small Toronto community theatre.
Christian was supported by an incredible supporting cast. I can’t say enough good things about the performances. I had them run some scene 9+ times and somehow each take is usable.
Also shout out to Nicholas Legault for holding his arm up for sometimes 8 minutes at a time on extreme wide shots. Not to mention how good everything sounds.
Nick Monteiro managed to keep us on time. We had an 18ish page script and shot it all in 2 days ahead of schedule. If you need an AD give him a call.
Ruby slayed and made our sets both practical and eye catching.
We also had some world class BG actors who helped bring the intimate scenes to life.

All that being said I can’t wait for you all to see it eventually.
Also VFX and score will bring this film to a whole other level.
