Remembering my Oma and Opa today by making Krumkakes.

A Christmas staple, I have never tried making these since I used to do them with my cousins and my Oma. Taste just like I remember!

Krumkakes are a Norwegian treat but this German version has cardamom and anise spice in the batter the way Oma made them. They crisp quickly and can be used to hold sweet creams and fruit.

Fresh Cherry Clafoutis straight from the oven!

Clafoutis is traditional French baked dessert - similar to a flan or custard type of batter - that you can add your favourite fruit flavours. This was a great way to use seasonal cherries in something other than a pie.

Made a few trays of Canadian “Dainties” while on vacation to show my Mom’s coworkers how we do Fridays at the office in Canada! Definitely not easy to bake in a kitchen where no one ever bakes but a few hacks later, I was able to pull through.

On the tray are Butter Tarts, Nanaimo Bars, Lemon Squares, Yum Yum Squares and two types of Rice Krispie Treats.

Made with a traditional shortbread base, caramel and topped with melted chocolate, these cookies solve the twix mystery of right or left... just eat them all! đŸ«
