It’s January, and like many others we find ourselves looking at the year ahead with equal parts curiosity and conviction. Not in a “new year, new us” sort of way, but more like, “what are business owners actually needing right now, and what’s quietly building momentum beneath the noise?”⁠

This year, the signals feel clearer than most.

Audiences want intention they can feel, brands they can actually recognize, and stories they can follow and be a part of.⁠

We’re seeing a shift toward deeper work, slower-built foundations that will last longer than a trend cycle. The move away from being everywhere toward being unmistakably somewhere, and a need for brand expression that feels more human, more handcrafted, more rooted in something real.⁠

So here’s our 2026 predictions, not rules or absolutes, just some of the patterns we’re noticing as the brand and digital media world keeps evolving. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. The annual recap. Not gonna lie, I love the hit of nostalgia I get watching every single one of these from fellow business owners, so we’re adding ours to the mix.⁠ 😘

2025 was a year. Scratch that, A YEAR. At the beginning of it I never would’ve guessed we’d have said goodbye to team members and completely remapped our plans for Nowaday Studio’s future.⁠

Shifting our team structure and core offerings has been one of the hardest business transitions I’ve had to walk out yet. But it’s also felt the most right.⁠

Ryan and I can’t express enough gratitude to the individuals and clients who have helped us find ourselves where we are today. There truly is no small business community like Winnipeg, we have some of the best individuals here, right within the heart of Manitoba.⁠

Thank you, to this community and to our clients, especially those who have put their trust in where Nowaday is going. You all are the absolute best. 🤎

While the holidays have crept nearer and nearer, we’ve been squeezing in some brand work of our own when we can.

This won’t be a January 1st launch, but we do like to practice what we preach. Meaning, we COULD have taken December easy, we COULD have waited until January to start, we COULD have told ourselves starting now won’t make a difference… except that it would.

Being within the depths of our rebrand now has helped us define exactly how we want to wrap up this year and show up well in the next.

We’re laser focused on where we’re going and for the first time in what feels like awhile, our client roaster reflects that - working with businesses on visual branding, web design, and brand strategy (and way less social media).

Ryan and I are feeling so excited for what’s ahead. Hang in for the ride, 2026 might just be our favourite yet.

So, so excited to present the new brand identity and website.

This is Oakley Vision Center’s first ever website so it’s extra cause for celebration! 🎉

This community institution located in the Interlake region of Manitoba (Gimli and Arborg) has been around since 1954.

Being well known in the community as a one stop optical clinic and frame shop, we worked to create a brand identity and website that respected their past while moving them forward.

Strategically we wanted to make sure the brand and website felt welcoming to newcomers in the region and also showcased the many frame options they have available. No need to drive to Winnipeg to shop for glasses!

We also made sure to include brand photos (and skip the stock images) so that longtime patients and shoppers recognized the friendly faces they’re used to.

It was a pleasure working with this team to give them a complete brand overhaul and we can’t wait to see those web analytics start going up! 📈👓
