Very honoured to attend MCIC’s 50th Anniversary at Government House this evening. I have worked with MCIC (Manitoba Council for International Cooperation) for the past … 13-15 years? (I’ve honestly lost count!) helping with their annual report, the Global Justice Film Festival materials, and graphic work for FIT (Fund for Innovation and Transformation), a program of MCIC.

There was a time when I was very keen on international development work, enough so that I thought I might switch careers and took some intro courses to test the waters. Instead, I left my long term 9-5 almost 20 years ago to freelance so that I was able to work with and support organizations like this, the ones doing such vital and life-affirming work. It does my heart good to be a small part of it. 🩵

Congrats Manitoba Council for International Cooperation for 50 years! 🎉 🥂

In the fall of 2023, I worked with FIT, (The Fund for Innovation and Transformation), on materials for their event in Ottawa, Innovations in Advancing Gender Equality.

I created a set of 35 posters highlighting International organizations and NGO’s working towards gender equality, as well as a set of infographic posters in English and French, plus some fun conference sinage and banners.

It was a whirlwind project, completed within a month’s time and I worked with a great Ottawa printer to complete the project.

Love working with organizations making a difference! 💪

The brand new Annual Report just dropped for IRCOM! 📢 📩 The Immigrant and Refugee Community of Manitoba is an organization with a huge heart ❤️ and it’s a privilege to get a sneak peek into the incredible work they do every year, supporting and providing housing, childcare and employment resources for newcomers to our city!
