While working away at the duster I realized I didnā€™t have any Irish crochet pieces for the upcoming fall markets.

So like any sane person, I decided to put down one insane project so I could start and finish another before the sunflower market tomorrow morning.

Insanity pays off though!

This gorgeous show piece is ready to go and will be on display until she finds her new home.

Still not done.
Irish lace takes the time it takes, and this duster is earning every stitch.

The duster is still under construction and making steady progress but I needed a little palette cleanser. So after a few videos popped up on my feed, I decided to try shuttle tatting.

Apparently I have a thing for dying fibre arts because this was exactly the shift I needed while engrossed in such a large project like the duster.

Matching lace gauntlets are for sure on my future project list!

Front panel: done.
This is my first time making anything like an Irish crochet duster, so every section feels like new territory. The front panel is the first part that actually looks like a garment, and seeing it come together is a huge relief. Update six, and Iā€™m finally starting to believe I can pull this off.
