2022 was certainly a year- both personally and professionally! If you’ve noticed I’ve been relatively MIA since the end of summer, and there was a good reason for that. We were finishing construction on our first home AND planning a wedding. So many amazing things happened that I don’t know how I can have a happier year than this one 💥 💕

From a business perspective, it’s a different story. I started the year off by taking on my biggest client yet. Although that was great and provided me with a lot of opportunities, it took me away from other projects and put me on a path to early burnout. NOT GOOD.

As a sole proprietor, it’s really important for me to focus my time and energy on things that will not only build my business long term but will also bring me joy.

What brings me joy? Dancing, traveling, getting to know people, teaching and creating art. So for 2023, my resolution is to return to the heart of my business ❤️

But let me take a moment to celebrate some of the memorable wins from this year:

✨ did work in 7 different states
✨ filmed and live-streamed several 16 consecutive hour events
✨ produced several fun dance videos (of course)
✨ taught a dance videography workshop
✨ guest lectured for a digital video course at USF
✨ judged for a film festival
✨ had 2 dance films screen at a festival (in which I held different titles)
✨ started a podcast
✨ featured on other podcast
✨ and honestly just learned a lot

I’m so excited to see what 2023 will bring. Next week I’m filming an exciting Sweet 16, and I can think of no better way to start the year.
