My name is Filippo Buzzini and I can help you learn and communicate better through visual communication. A picture says more than a 1000 words and representing learnings graphically is a very efficient and effective way of getting your message through. With Sketchy Solutions, I offer hand-drawn custom made solutions for your organisation, business or institution. I can offer:

The advantage of this method is that at the end of the event there is a tangible, clear result to present to the participants/public right away. Graphic facilitation: the process that helps groups and individuals towards a goal through the visualisation of challenges, objectives and tasks. The method is used in various processes such as meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences. Original communication solutions: hand-drawn flyers, poster or any other communication product. I can draw simple yet attractive products that can help you, for example, to advertise a product or to disseminate the results of a project in a graphic way. Online lettering workshop series 'Sketchy style' coming to you this December. Save the dates!

Do you want to learn some of my signature lettering styles? If yes, join me on my first online workshop series before the turn of the year.

Through 4 interactive 90 minutes sessions, you can learn step-by-step how to letter in four different styles I often use in my work: 'This one'; 'That one'; 'Another one' and 'The one' (yes, I put a lot of thought in naming them).

The lettering styles are complementary and they all build up to being able to master 'The one', but the sessions can also be booked individually.

When? Every Tuesday in December before the holidays. From 19:30 to 21:00 CEST.

How much does it cost?
Normal price: CHF* 60.00 per workshop or CHF 150.00 for all four.
Early bird price** (until 31 October): CHF 45.00 per workshop or CHF 120.00 for all four.

Sketchy 2022 - pictures and video highlights of Sketchy Solutions' 2022

A year again dominated by graphic recordings, 35 days in total and in 5 languages (English, German, Swiss German, French and Italian) but with a growing amount of strategic visualisations.

A year where I tested again new grounds: among others I drew the cover-art for a book and developed 5 fonts.

A year where the line between work and life blurred even more, fortunately resulting in an improved work-life balance: I both lived wonderful personal experienced during professional encounters (such as a brainstorming session on the beach in Spain) and managed to take advantage of my professional skills to make personal dreams come true (such as helping me get to Antarctica for a reasonable price and being able to do graphic recordings on the 7th Continent).

Let's hope for more of the same to come!

How is it possible that racism still persists? And what can be done to counter it in an intersectional way?

These are the questions that led the Fachstelle für Rassismusbekämpfung FRB to develop recommendations on action strategies and approaches for combating the structural roots of racism. during their conference "Reden wir! Und jetzt?"

My task was then to create a strategic visualisation of those strategies (including some context on FRB on the left side) in German, French and Italian.

It makes me happy to be able to contribute to such relevant work. Racism should have no place in today's world but the reality is that there is still quite some work to do if we want to create an inclusive society with equal access to opportunities and protection from discrimination for everyone.

it has been a busy and very inspiring week at the Adventure Travel World Summit, organized by the Adventure Travel Trade Association in the city of Lugano (Switzerland).

as a keen adventure traveller myself, I sometimes felt like a kid in a candy shop.

it was the first time the meeting took place in person since three years and the buzz and positive vibrations were to be felt everywhere.

i graphic recorded 5 sessions in three days on very interesting topics such as providing excellent digital experiences, sustainability and extending the freedom to roam.

Many many thanks to Alice Gifford for the opportunity. Congratulations for setting up a beautiful and relevant experience for all participants.

It has been a busy last couple of weeks for me, as I could not follow up with posting regularly, here is a wrap-up of some of the non-confidential work.

Reach out if you are considering a graphic recording for your conference/event/workshop, I still have some availability from now until mid-November!

In September I did the graphic recording of the conference for the 20th anniversary of the DOJ/AFAJ (Dachverband Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit Schweiz) in Bern, where using the fishbowl method, they looked back during three rounds at the origins of the organisation, today's stand, and innovative approaches looking forward.

This was followed by a digital graphic recording of the Visite project from the Swiss Foundation for Arts, Culture and History, where in a workshop setting the participants looked for ways to modernise and make more inclusive the Museum Chüechlihus in Langnau.

The following week I graphic recorded the Barcamp sessions of the 'Oser l'échange' event in Biel, organised by Movetia to share good practices in mobility and exchange programmes for schools.

That same week I provided an online course on the basic elements of visual communication to a small but very motivated group of participants from Eurodesk Luxembourg before finishing it off with the graphic recording of a keynote and a panel discussion on planetary boundaries and the role of enterprises in contributing towards the Sustainable Development Goals during the Swiss Impact Forum organised by B Lab Switzerland.

I love how my job allows me to get insights into many different fields of practice, topics and working methods. I never stop learning new things and am always willing to take on new challenges.

Do you want to add an hand-drawn feeling to the titles and texts in your Powerpoint presentations, Procreate and InDesign projects or any other visual product? Now you can!

I have designed four different Sketchy font types that can help you steer away from the boring mechanical fonts that we are accustomed to. The image below combined the four and was made using Microsoft Word.

The fonts have been specifically designed with visual practitioners, facilitators, coaches and everyone who could benefit from a more hand-drawn text output in mind.

Each font has been designed to be 'double', in the sense that it will look different if used all uppercase or all lowercase.

You can download them individually (CHF 19.90) or as a bundle with all four (CHF 49.90). They are now available as a Desktop version and for iOS on my Gumroad page: https://sketchysolutions.gumroad.com/

Another multilingual graphic recording (DE, EN and FR) about the future of the media and communication sector organised by the Federal Office of Communications OFCOM.

The topic was extremely interesting as it oulined which trends are to expect in the three main fields of responsibility of the Office: Telecommunications, Media and Post.

Another trilingual graphic recording. For the first time I had the opportunity to work live in the three official languages of Switzerland: German, French and Italian.

The topic of the conference organised by Movetia and the
Schweizerisches Zentrum für die Mittelschule (ZEM CES) was a very fitting one for this kind of endeavour as it tackled "Exchanges in bilingual educational paths".

A very insightful event that shed light on what's the stand in the country of bilingual exchanges and education, what needs to be done, which opportunities are available as well as providing concrete best practices and a broader look on interculturality and global citizenship.

It was a pleasure to graphic record the BNE Praxistag of education21ch again.

This year the topic was: "Education for Sustainable Development makes you strong". After a very interesting input on what participation is and how it should be a goal in education, the participants were split into 6 workshops where the could exchange on concrete aspects of sustainability in education.

Join us for a week full of lettering this October!

You can learn from some of the best in the field how to boost your lettering: starting with some tols and warm-up with Heather Martinez, then digging into blocklettering with Romana Moser before learning how to make your words 'speak' and convey emotions with Pavo Ivković. After that, Ben Tinker will show you how to add depth to your lettern bringing them to the third dimension and I will finish by showing you how to twist, turn and pimp your letters to give them a true street look.
